I’m taking a much needed moment to do a little updating on the ‘ole blog here. I feel like after my kids, my husband, my first job, my shoots, and all the other things vying for my attention, my poor blog is whimpering in a corner, begging for a crust of bread. It’s a dismal picture, to be sure. So here are some bread crumbs, little starving blog.
Firstly, April is proving to be quite busy indeed. Only the last weekend in April has any openings left, so be sure to hop on the May train and book your shoot before it gets too hot outside! Of course, maternity and newborn sessions wait for no one (babies are neither early nor late- they arrive exactly when they mean to!), so as long as you’re keeping in contact with me ahead of time, we’ll fit those in.
And lastly, the wonderful Schmidt family. I’ve been photographing these lovely people practically since I met them, and I get so much pleasure in watching and documenting their family. I love the dreamy feel of these particular pictures… every session sort of takes on a life of its own and this one was very peaceful and light. I will definitely not tell you to look closely for the treats we we’re using to bribe Miss C into letting me take her picture.
Hey Islands Community,
A few of you are not able to download your pictures from Flikr, so I’ve created a Shutterfly photo sharing site as well.

All the photos from the Islands winter festivities should be up now. I have had a few calls about my instructions for downloading not working for them, so please email me if you’re having problems too. (It may be the different web browsers we’re using, or Mac vs PC… I don’t know. But we’ll get you your picture either way.)
Would you like to see my favorite? Of course you would.
Thanks for stopping by, and please remember me for all you photography needs!

Thanks for stopping by again! Most of the pictures are up on Flikr here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bearfootphotography/
Unfortunately, I did not get them all done tonight, but I only have a few more left, so the rest will be posted by Wednesday morning.
Ok, here’s how you download them.
- Scroll through the photos and select your picture.
- Right click on the photo and select the size you’d like to download (I’d recommend “original” or smaller.)
- After the picture appears, look above the left corner and select “download”.
You can then save the picture to your computer.
You can email me with any questions, and don’t forget to “like” my Facebook page here to stay updated!
It had a lot of fun shooting you all on Santa’s lap today, and if you’re here for your picture, keep in mind that it will be Tuesday, December 17th before they’re ready to download. I will post again to let you know when I’ve completed them.
Until then, you can visit my Facebook page to keep updated on my latest posts and shoots. (I update that much more regularly than I do my blog, I fear.) :-/
And just for checking in, I’ll offer a 15% discount on all shoots booked for the month of January. Just email me with the code 15JAN to book your shoot.
Thanks for stopping by, and feel free to email me with any questions you have!

Holy cow it’s been a long time since I posted- I guess having a baby can do that to a person (never mind that he’ll be 8 months old at the end of this month… SSSHHHH…)
Anyway, I have an exciting opportunity to shoot some weddings coming up, and I need models to help me build a wedding-ish portfolio to show potential clients what I can do. If you have what it takes, you’ll get a free photo shoot AND a CD of the best shots.
Please send an email with a quick pic of yourself to email@example.com and we’ll let you know if we can fit you in.
Thanks for your time, and be looking for a lot more brides to grace my pages in the future!
Now this was an interesting shoot. Due to all sorts of unforeseen circumstances, we had to shoot this in very low light. It was a good thing we didn’t wait too, because I think Cleo came one short week after. It was now or never, so I maxed out the ISO, relied on my tripod like never before, cranked the aperture wide open, and prayed.
All in all, I loved the results. They’re a little grainy, (to be expected), but it gives them a mystical feel. The shots outside have an especially dreamy quality, which is probably how the parents are remembering the week before Cleo.
Anyway, enjoy, and have a fantastic Thanksgiving.
I have been getting slammed with spam and so I’ve made an executive decision. From now on, no one will be able to comment on any of my posts. If I figure out how to keep spammers from frequenting my site, I will enable the commenting again.
So for now, if you’d like to get in contact with me, please use the “Contact” tab above, or use one of the outlets below:
And just for funsies– a preview from my most recent shoot! Enjoy!
If you have a Halloween promo code from trick or treating in the neighborhood, be sure to send me a message or comment to schedule your holiday session!
Have a great day!
Some of you have been saying that it’s a little difficult to find me on facebook- I hear ya. Only once in a blue moon can you type “Bearfoot Photography” in the search bar and actually get to the Bearfoot Photography in Gilbert, AZ. So, until my IT guy (my hubby) can figure out how to install that handy-dandy facebook button on this site, here’s the actual link.
Don’t forget to check there first- I definitely spend more time updating there than I do here. (I don’t know what it is about a “blog”, but it’s very intimidating!)
Thanks, and I look forward to booking your session!
